Abstract

An important area in the foreign trade of Poland and the Czech Republic is the agrarian sector. In Poland, in 2017 there was a positive balance of foreign trade in agrarian products, while in the Czech Republic agrarian imports are higher than exports. Of the selected agricultural commodities, Poland recorded the highest positive balance of meat exports in 2016. In the same year in the Czech Republic, the positive balance was achieved only in trade of grain and milk. The main recipients of Polish agrarian products were Germany (24%) and Great Britain (9%). In the Czech Republic, the main export country in 2017 was Slovakia (21.9%) and Germany (19.2%).
