Abstract | More and more, chemical preservatives, that can reduce the risk of aerobic degradation taking place in the surface layer due to increased exposure to oxygen, are applied to the surface of the ensiled maize during its ensiling. The aim was to determine the nutritional and fermentation characteristics of corn silage treated in the establishment of silage ensiled forage sprayed surface. Two additive was used, a new product with a trade name Albit (poly-beta-hydroxy butyric acid) and still verified silage preparation Safesil (sodium nitrite, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate). The application of both tested chemical additive on the surface of ensiled maize had positive effects (P |
