In Slovenia, they breed 8 breeds, five with meat or dual purpose breeds and three dairy. There were registered about 114 thousand of sheep in 6186 sheep breeders in the year 2012. In performance control was 225 flocks in 2012. The control proceed similar to the Czech Republic: they record the date of lambing, litter size, number of live births and the weight of lambs within 24 hours from the lambing and then weight in 60 days and number of weaned. The milk performance control proceeds according to the rules of Icare by AT4 method. Breeding values are predicted for milk production.
