Abstract | Application software for illness recording and treatment diaries developed for the purpose of recording illness and treatment of dairy cattle. It forms part of the app: Access to Data, run by the Czech Moravian Breeders Corporation, Inc. The app is available to all registered users, cattlebreeders and their representatives. The main goal of the project is to develop a functional data system for data recording and capture in relation to the health problems of individual animals in the dairy cattle population. Algorithms are prepared for evaluation and managerial purposes as they apply to dairy cattle herds. It is particularly important to ensure antibiotics records (veterinary medicine) and specified risk factors that can lead to the inception of antibiotics resistance in relation to herd management. This aids rational, long sustainable use of antimicrobial medicine and verification of antimicrobial resistance. From obtained records of health problems partially evaluated in connection with selected herd traits it creates a prerequisite for further breeding of dairy cattle for resistance against selected illnesses and health problems. Developed under project NAZV QJ 1510217 – Proposal and use of a national system about cattle diseases and its utilisation in herd management, breeding and for rational usage of antimicrobials. |
