Abstract

The methodology provides comprehensive information on genetic relationships between clinical mastitis, foot and claw diseases/disorders and selected features of production, reproduction, longevity and exterior in Holstein cattle. This information is the basis for inclusion of the properties of udder and foot and claw disease/disorders in the selection index of Holstein. Genetic parameters for health traits and their relationship to another traits have not been evaluated in the Czech Republic yet.
