Abstract

The aim of this study was to suggest a simple screening assessments of selected indicators rearing environment with emphasis on ensuring the possibility of implementing the behavioural manifestations of cows, namely feeding and drinking water supply, lying, rest, rumination, social interactions, plenty of exercise, microclimate, including ventilation, lighting and milking. Stables for dairy farming must comply with the used technology of breeding dispositional, technical and operational solutions so that the air circulation, dust levels, temperature and relative humidity, gas concentration, lighting and noise levels are kept within limits that do not disrupt the health and welfare of the stabled animals.
