Abstract

The Eurotier International Farming Exhibition in Hannover is one of the largest events in the world to produce livestock. According to the organizers‘ information in November 2018, the exhibition was attended by 155,000 visitors. Our animals, the latest products and know-how presented more than 2,200 exhibitors from 62 countries. Various types and categories of livestock, machinery for animal and partly for plant production, agro-processing equipment, data processing and many others were exhibited. The main part of the program was provided by Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (DLG) in cooperation with agricultural universities, research institutes, consulting organizations, manufacturing companies and other institutions. The possibility of successful production of organic milk using 100% of bio feeds was focused on by U. Schumacher. Among the indicators mentioned in Germany, among other things, that in eco mode farmed 5.9% of farmers with breeding 4.1% dairy cows and the proportion of bio milk amounted to approximately 2.5% of its total production. From the exposed exhibits as well as from the papers presented, it is possible to estimate the main directions of development and breeding of all species and categories of livestock. These include protecting the environment and animals, improving housing conditions, breeding, nutrition and feeding, automation and robotization of work processes, improving microclimate (ventilation, heating), improving food quality, etc.
