Abstract

Miniature horses have beed bred even recently. They are small by build but keep the life needs of „normal“ horses. They offen suffer by genetic or developmental malfunction and disorders due to their small body that compromises normal structure of the organism. They are also often exposed to innappropriate living condition and care because of their „pet“ look. The paper summarizes current knowledge about these special breeds of husbandry animals.
