Abstract

The goal consisted in testing 3 methods of securing of experiments for determination of silage quality. Two types of special bags made of polypropylene netting were used to assess the course and the result of preservation under the conditions as similar as possible to bunker silo conditions. A temperature measuring battery sensor was inserted into each bag and the bags were put into ensilaged fodder in the bunker silo. The second test method consisted in ensilaging of fodder in an IBC plastic container. The amount of the silage produced in that way is sufficient to secure the balance experiment with castrated rams. The efficiency of the preservative at ensilaging fodder in anaerobic conditions was tested under use of a device for extraction of air from a small plastic bag filled with ensilaged fodder. All test methods proved successful. Results utilizable both in research and in practice were achieved with them.
