Abstract | National genomic breeding values for Holstein cattle are predicted using single step ssGBLUP approach. This approach uses data from national performance testing, pedigree data and molecular genetic informations. Genotyped and ungenotyped animals are evaluated together. Predictions of national genomic breeding values are compared with Interbull GMACE breeding values repredicted onto the scale of the Czech Republic. Medium to high correlations were found for production, longevity and linear type traits. Correlations show high credibility of national genomic breeding values and suitability of the ssGBLUP for their prediction. |
