Abstract

The aim of this technology is the use of the stimulator rumen movement (RF) in cattle with high yielding. The RF boluses consist of a brush wrapped in paper. When RF bolus enters the rumen humid environment, the paper quickly dissolves and brush it opens. The bolus RF has a diameter of 30 mm and a length of 140 mm, its surface is smooth. It is applied per os by a special applicator. The presented technology has been verified at the VÚŽV Special Purpose Farming and under operating conditions on several farms. The results are documented in the protocols. Technology can be recommended for high-yield dairy cows, fed with higher risk of acidosis because of the lower TMR structure, ie with aNDF of less than 13%.
