Abstract

The workshop for dairy cattle breeders was divided into partial blocks, focused on the management of the colostral nutrition, health evidence in dairy cattle herds and breeding of the montbelliard cattle population in the Czech republic and in France. The first presentation interpreted by Stanislav Staněk Ph.D. (Institute of Animal Science, Prague) was focused on the management of the colostral nutrition in the dairy cattle herds. The composition of the colostrum was accented, and also the factors influencing the quality of the colostrum and the possibilities of monitoring the quality and the imunity equipment of calves directly in herds were mentioned along with visual demonstration. The research project NAZV QJ1510219 was presented with the possibility of joining to this project and also the web site www.telata-mlezivo.cz. The second presentation (Soňa Šlosárková, Ph.D. Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Brno), was focused on the evidence of the health problems in dairy cattle herds and the necessity of the central evidence of these problems, and the evidence of medication usage. The possibility of the stable-diary in electronical form was presented to the breeders, including the modulus filing the medicament usage and the veterinary costs for every cattle cathegory. The research project NAZV QJ1510217 was presented with the possibility of joining this project. The last presentation was focused on the breeding of the Montbelliard breed population in France, the principles of its breeding, prediction of breeding value and stock bulls breeding. The lectors were Ferreol Rochee and Guillaime Fayolne from the Umotest-Coopex France society.
