Abstract

Legumes are among the crops of medium to difficult ensiling. Their ensilability increases when they are grown and harvested in mixtures with cereals or grasses. If the species diversity of plants and seed rate in the whole mixture is appropriately combines, the ensilability is improves due to the higher content of water soluble sugars.
