Abstract

The aim of the study was to analyse the effect of short term feed restriction on performance characteristics and development of internal organ in early weaned growing rabbits. In the experiment, three groups of rabbits were used: ad libitum fed (AL), rabbits restricted 50 g per rabbit per day between 32 and 39 days of age (R50) and rabbits with feed restriction 65 g per rabbit per day (R65) in the same time as in previous group. The live weight of rabbits at the end of experiment was not affected by feeding regime as well as daily feed intake and feed conversion ratio. From the internal organs, limited feed intake affected mainly the weight of liver (P^O.006) and kidneys (P
