Abstract

Use of fiber and separation of feed for the evaluation of ration for cattle. Physically efficient fibre (peNDF) in total mixed ration (TMR) is the main factor that stimulates the digestion and proper function of the rumen. The aim of the experiment was to find out how dairy cows respond to peNDF, which is at the risk of acidosis of the rumen. In the experiment, 26 dairy cattle were bred, six dairy cows were implicated per orally by the eCOW bolus, which measured the rumen pH at 0.1 degrees every 15 minutes. Feed consumption was measured continuously using automatic feed boxes.
