The paper presents using mainly foreign literature of historical data, current and forecasted selected indicators of milk production in the world and its regions. The results showed among other things that despite significant population growth may be in the next ten to twenty years in the world expected to increase milk production by 20 to 35%. Greater growth of this and other indicators (especially the consumption of milk and dairy products per capita) is to be achieved in developing than in developed regions of the world.
