The contribution is dealt with conditions of succeful breeding of calves and heifers. It is emphasized treatment of calves after parturition, feeding by colostrum and using a milk feeding mixture and starter of high quality. During first days of calves life is importtant aplication of Se, Fe and vitamin E. During a plant nutrition, there is necessary to attend to quality of roughages and adequate concentration of concentrates in diets. There is emphezised also BCS of heifers, their optimal growth and weight in the first insemination.
