The popular event „Science in the Fields and Stables – The Story of Food“ trail takes place every year in June. The twelfth edition, traditionally organised by the Institute of Animal Science, along with the company Selgen, a. s. and the Czech University of Life Sciences, was held on 7 and 8 June 2024.
Friday was reserved for primary school pupils and took place at the farm in Netluky and in the fields of the Czech University of Life Sciences.
The guided educational trail was attended by 21 school classes, a total of 483 pupils accompanied by 43 teachers from Prague primary schools and the Central Bohemian Region. At the end of trail, pupils tested their new knowledge in a quiz and received prizes.
On Saturday, the educational trail was open for the general public and contained a cognitive and knowledge competition. 439 school and pre-school children arrived, accompanied by parents, grandparents, mothers with baby strollers, groups of cyclists, a total of almost 2000 visitors.
