The popular event „Science in the Fields and Stables – The Story of Food“ trail takes place every year in June. The twelfth edition, traditionally organised by the Institute of Animal Science, along with the company Selgen, a. s. and the Czech University of Life Sciences, was held on 7 and 8 June 2024.
On 11 and 12 June 2024, the annual meeting of COST EU-LI-PHE took place at the University of Bologna, Italy. Ludmila Zavadilová, M.S., CSc. and Emil Krupa, M.S., PhD. as representatives of the Institute of Animal Science in the steering committee of the event.
On 20 April 2024, the first show jumping competition of the year took place in Stará Boleslav. Horses from the IAS Uhříněves Equestrian Club took part in the competition.
On Saturday, 20 April 2024, the Institute of Animal Science participated in the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Toulcův Dvůr centre of environmental education and training for all generations. The IAS department of Ethology and department Nutritional Physiology and Production Quality presented themselves to the public there.
On Thursday, 30 November 2023, the Minister of Agriculture Marek Výborný. M.S. visited the Institute of Animal Science in Prague-Uhrineves. The meeting with the Director of the Institute was attended by the Deputy Directors of the Institute for research, purpose activities and economy.

At the beginning of November, a group of Turkish professionals visited IAS. They were interested in establishing cooperation with IAS regarding purchase of semen of Czech cattle breeds and genomic analyses of Turkish bulls.
The traditional Farmers‘ Day took place on Tuesday 7 November 2023 in Velká Chyška near Pacov. The event was organized by the Czech Technology Platform for Agriculture in cooperation with the Institute of Animal Science., Department of Livestock Production of the Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the Agricultural Cooperative Velká Chyška.
