Description | CREATING AND EVALUATING BREEDING ENVIRONMENT We specialise in the formation and evaluation of breeding environment from the point of view of the dependence of animal, technical, technological and human factors. The research addresses the evaluation and formation of the breeding environment, namely in terms of adaptation and thermoregulatory abilities of animals (mainly large and small ruminants), the impact of technical elements or complete technologies on animal health and welfare, including the macro- and micro-climatic conditions and non-standard factors of livestock breeding and their elimination in farm buildings. To meet the objectives we use state-of-the-art measurement and diagnostic equipment TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT OF RUMINANTS We look into the issue of technologies in stables and animal management in terms of production, welfare, health and biosecurity. We specialise in the evaluation of housing systems using various technologies and in the evaluation of the level of breeding (specifying the technology and zootechnical reserves) and in the determination of “critical control points”. We also investigate the influence of breeding environment and other selected factors on milk quality and, last but not least, we focus on the hygiene and biosecurity. |
