The aim of the project is to develop and update mathematical-statistical procedures for processing
outputs from the performance testing of beef cattle and to incorporate the obtained genetic and
genomic information into the national breeding information system and into systems of regular
genomic evaluation of animals. Emphasis is placed on developing a new genomic evaluation to
replace the existing genetic evaluation based on conventional breeding values. Furthermore, the
project is focused on collecting new data related to the resistance of beef cattle to maintain the
competitiveness and high level of breeding of beef cattle in the Czech Republic.
