The objective of the project is to rigorously test the effectiveness of preventive measures against large carnivore attacks on livestock using smart technologies such as remote voltage monitoring, virtual fencing, genetic identification of carnivores, and others. Verifying the effectiveness of these measures will be a key step toward reducing conflicts between humans and recovering populations of large carnivores. The knowledge gained will also provide an important expert basis for the management and conservation of large carnivore populations in the Czech Republic and will be applicable in practice by stakeholders in public administration, agriculture, and nature conservation.
