The article describes the main topics that were addressed at the conference of the 3rd regional meeting of the EAAP (European Federation of Animal Science) under the title „Animal Production in a Changing World“. During the three days, a number of experts from all over Europe spoke on various topics. The speakers mostly focused on cattle breeding, pig breeding was not represented as often. But from the few speeches and poster presentations, it was clear what the main research directions were: welfare, the impact of pig breeding on the environment, the carbon footprint of animal products, biosecurity in pig farming.
