Among the traditional crops grown in the Czech Republic are legumes. This protein crop is excellent fodder and food and has a number of beneficial effects. Its support in cultivation has increased at the national and European level. An indicator of this trend is the increase in the cultivated area, which in 2023 exceeded the threshold of 50,000 ha for the first time in the Czech Republic.
