Abstract | We analysed the data on reproductive disorders incidence in Czech Fleckvieh recorded by breeders in web application Diary of Diseases and Medication in 2017-2021. We found a lactation incidence LI of 4% for retained placenta and endometritis, 8% for metritis, 9% for cystic ovarian disease and 10% for merged metritis-endometritis. The heritabilities ranged between 0.01 (retained placenta and endometritis) and 0.03 (metritis), while repeatability ranged from 0.04 to 0.10. Estimated breeding values had normal distribution; however, their mean reliabilities were low with maximum 30% for cows with phenotype and 90% for sires with daughters. Rank correlations between sires based on breeding values indicated a genetic correlation between retained placenta and metritis, metritis and endometritis, and retained placenta and endometritis. We found no association between cystic ovarian disease and other disorders. |
