Abstract | There were detected CSN3 genotypes in 37 sires of Czech Pied cattle. Milk production parameters (milk, protein and fat yield and protein and fat content) were observed in 5506 of their daughters. The aim of this study was to find association between CSN3genotypes of sires and milk production parameters of their daughters. Daughters of sires with genotype AA produced 157 kg and 289 kg more milk compared to genotypes AB and BB. The diference in protein content was 0,15 % higher in daughters of sires withgenotype BB in comparison with genotypes AA and AB. Higher fat content was also found in genotype BB. These results confirm the association between marker CSN3 and milk production parameters. After verification on larger amount of animals will be possible to recommend this marker as a supplement in Czech Pied cattle selection. |
