The aim of paper is to analyse the influence of rearing environment hygiene on the incidence of calf diarrhea during milk nutrition period for ten-month monitoring keeping in individual hutches. There was assessed the cleanliness of rearing environment and body surface of 37 calves in a total of 10 body regions (a modified scale by Reneaua). Although there was not proved the relationship between the incidence of calf diarrhea and hygiene level of rearing environment in monitored farm, the cleanliness of the body surface reflect the level of calf hygiene rearing environment. Contamination of the distal parts of the limbs and ventral abdomen directly related to the wet and contaminated bed, respectively the floor of the enclosure.
