The paper is focused on the importance of prevention and prophylaxis of diarrheal and respiratory diseases of calves during their breeding as an important part of antimicrobial consumption reduction strategy based on vaccination of high-pregnant heifers and cows, colostrum management, feeding optimization, improving the quality of breeding environment, technological systems including biosecurity.
