Abstract | The aim of the study was to test in vitro a combined enzymatic method of determination of intestinal digestibility of undegradable protein in the rumen. The principle of designed method is enzyme degradation in laboratory conditions without using the rumen preincubation. Modification of the classical enzymatic method consisted of replacement of the first stage i. e. 16 hours of incubation of feed in cows rumen, by incubation of feed in medium with bromelain. In this medium, samples were incubated in intervals of 1 or 16 h, which was followed by 24 h incubation of undegradable residue in pancreatin supplemented medium. The results showed that combined enzymatic method was most suitable when feed was pre-incubated with bromelain in interval of 1 hour. |
