Abstract | Forage quality was determined at locality Troubsko in dry and warm years 2018-2020. Alfalfa was harvested three times per year in the phase of butonisation. It was found that drought and warm conditions worsen biomass quality due to early senescence of plants. Dry matter content increase, neutral and acido-detergent fiber increase, nitrogen element content decrease. In dry years harvest date have to be properly selected – not only basing on growth phase, but also on dry matter content. Dry matter content should not exceed 20 %. |
