| Abstract | Although lupin has the properties of a high-quality protein feed, which, with careful selection of the variety, can partially cover the protein needs of livestock and can also supplement bulky feeds as part of silages that have good digestibility, trends in recent years show a rather decreasing interest in this crop originating from the Mediterranean and South America. This is despite the fact that it has been cultivated for many years as a tasty and healthy crop with a low content of bitter and anti-nutritional substances. |
