Abstract

On December 5, 2024, the Institute of Animal Science held a workshop „Legumes and their uses“ organized by the staff of the Department of Animal Feeding and Nutrition and the Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences, where the results of the projects „Domestic Protein Crops in Cattle Nutrition (NAZV; QK21010344)“ and „Long-term Conceptual Development of a Research Organization (MZE-RO0723)“ were presented. The lectures were: „Qualitative parameters of peas, broad beans, narrow-leaved and yellow lupins from experiments at the IAS“; „Results of the experiment with broad beans in Cetkovice“; „Preliminary results of experiments on legumes at the NutriVet, s.r.o. workplace in Velké Opatovice“; „Qualitative parameters of buckwheat and foxteil millet forage grown as catch crops“ and „Yield potential of amaranth forage – comparison of two years of cultivation“.
