Abstract

The pre-weaning period is critical for farm animals‘ health and growth. Adding probiotics and prebiotics feed additives to feed can positively affect the postnatal development of the organism by improving physiological processes and thus the health of animals. Ensuring the proper function of the gastrointestinal tract (e.g., with the help of feed additives) forms the basis for maintaining good health and the subsequent growth and development of the organism.
