Fatty acids content in milk of Holstein and Czech Pied dairy cattle
Dairy cows of both breeds (H and C) were given the same diet based on corn and alfalfa silages. SFA was higher in milk fat of C-breed. Primiparous H-cows were lower in milk SFA and higher in UFA compared with multiparous H-cows. Conversely, milk fat contents of SFA were higher and of UFA lower in primiparous C-cows in comparision with multiparous ones. Concentration of cis-12 trans-10 isomer CLA significantly higher in milk of C-cows, whereas isomer of cis-9, trans-11 CLA was si milar among both breeds.
