Abstract

The aim of the research was to experimentally determine whether it is possible to predict the optimal harvest time of corn. At weekly intervals, maize samples were taken from the field for chemical analysis and the maize crop was scanned using a drone with a multispectral camera. From the values measured by the camera, reflectance maps were created, from which the vegetation indices were calculated, with the help of which the phenological phase of the plants was judged and the start of the harvest was planned. The results show that the optimal harvest time can be predicted using remote sensing of maize crops.
