Abstract

The methodology describes the procedure for the evaluation of data on the incidence of reproductive disorders (retained placenta, metritis, ovarian cysts) in Holstein dairy cows and their genomic evaluation using SNP genotypes. Heritability coefficients (h2~0.02) and genetic correlations were estimated for the traits. A three-trait animal model was used to estimate genomic breeding values and the ssGBLUP method with the APY algorithm was used. Genetic trends in the population were described and the associations of resistance to reproductive disorders with traits in the selection index were approximatted.
