Abstract

Potential factors limiting growth of fattening pigs include physical (thermal, stocking density, feed and water access), social (pigs per pen, movement), and microbial (sanitation, segregation) conditions that may contribute to physiological and immunological stress. Correlation between the climatic parameters and the spread of the contagious infection is still a hard question. This correlation is more possible in the case of less contagious infection like Actinobacillus pleuropneumoiae.
