Abstract | This paper summarizes the use of two unconventional fodders – lupin seeds (Lupinus albus) and dried corn distiller´s grains in a diet for high yielding dairy cows. Two experiments (A, B) were designed – the experiment „A“ with Lupinus albus as a substitute of soybean meal and experiment „B“ with dried corn distiller´s grains as a substitute of concentrate mixture in a diet. The results show that the using of Lupin seeds or dried corn distiller´s grains did not markedly influence total consumption of the diet and the level of milk yield. Lupin seeds and dried corn distiller´s grains could be recommended as a suitable feed for dairy cows at the beginning of the lactation. |
