Abstract

Livestock production is an important and complex sector that has a significant impact on the economy and the environment. At a time when we are facing challenges such as climate change and a growing population, it is important to find sustainable solutions for food production. The article deals with the most significant factors that affect the level of greenhouse gas emissions from pig farming, especially slurry storage. The article describes the so-called low-emission stables, feeding systems, cooling, separation of feces and urine, which contribute to reducing gas emissions.
