Abstract

The goal is to set up rules for conservation and repeated use of frozen sex cells in breeding of Genetic Resources of horses. New population created from frozen cells should have sufficient size to be able survive to the future. Suggested rules come out from international recommendations and principles of population genetics. Input data are the sizes of domestic population, numbers of individuals with already frozen sex cells and effectivity of biotechnology of reproduction. Output values are calculations for several possibilities, which correspond approximately to the breeding of Old Kladruber Horses.
