We recently approached Czech beef cattle breeders with the opportunity to participate in a simple online questionnaire. The question was: What traits (characteristics) are important to you when selecting cattle and how important do you place them? Breeders had the opportunity to assign importance (expressed as a point score) to a total of 12 basic groups of traits and characteristics. In addition, there was the opportunity to add any other indicators and determine their importance when selecting in herds.
