Abstract | Claw and leg health problems are worldwide one of the three most common health issues in dairy cows. Claw diseases (exactly foot and claw disorders) can be putted together to groups or divided to numerous diseases or disorders. Based on international publications and on own results regarding heritability of individual groups of claw diseases and their genetic correlations among them the authors suggest to use in future work to direct breeding to claw health in Czech Republic general to specific traits: overall foot and claw disorder, infectious diseases, claw disorders, couples or individual foot and claw disorders in case of sufficient data amount. |
