Abstract | This article shows prevalence of the production diseases of the dairy cows (H breed) in 12 selected farms with high milk yield, considering calving interval. Based on the observation, it is clear that the transition period is the most dangerous for the cows. During this period, the highest direct and indirect economic losses arise. Cows in late pregnancy especially suffered from deficiency of phosphorus, selenium, copper, vitamin E, vitamin A and beta- carotene. In postpartum period they suffered from hypocalcaemia, hypophosphatemia, hypokalaemia, liver steatosis, ketosis, ongoing deficiency of trace elements and vitamins, metritis, mastitis, abomasum displacement, rumen acidosis (SARA) and laminitis. |
