Abstract | Pigs raised in large-scale farming conditions face significant restrictions, starting from the reproductive phase, where maternal behavior can be greatly limited due to the conditions and housing system in which the sow and her litter are kept. The natural behavior of sows includes nursing their piglets, which is very specific and important to understand its function. Piglets are naturally playful and social. The interaction between the mother and her litter is crucial, as it can have a positive impact on the development of the piglets. |
