| Abstract | The process of domestication has led to significant changes, primarily in the morphology of domesticated animals. However, it’s important to note that while domestication has influenced many aspects of these species, it doesn’t fundamentally alter their entire biology. In the context of behavior, this is especially true. Lack of understanding or underestimation of basic life strategies in animals can be challenging and costly for breeders. For instance, the proximity of a male (who is not the father) can pose risks to maintaining a female’s pregnancy. |
