New selection indices (CPH) of dam and sire population of pigs included in the national breeding program CzePig were constructed using the new functional traits related to litter size, farrowing interval and number of teats (in dam population) and semen quality traits (in sire population). At the same time, the current genetic parameters and the economic importance of all traits and the expected selection response in the application of different variants of new selection indices in breeding practice were calculated.
