Abstract | The primary objective was to implement management of SDCT based on pathogen detection in quarter milk samples based on on-farm cultivation (OFC) for intramammary antimicrobial (AML) treatment using one drug composed with 3 antibiotics which are classified at category D and C according to AMEG during the period of 3 years with the respect to quarters of the year. During the 3rd year of the study was observed the lowest frequency of the indications for AML treatment of cows and quarters of mammary gland at dry-off. According to our results we can conclude that OFC is the tool which is easy to use for selection of AML treatment in the frame of SDCT to meet the requirements for antimicrobial stewardship in dairy herds as well as to reduce consumption of AML. |
