Abstract | The increase of area and utilisation (management) of permanent grasslands both in the EU and in the CR is a matter of subventions from various reasons (environment protection, biodiversity, the face of landscape, etc.). Ruminants are the main consumers of forage from permanent grasslands, Therefore the level of subvention can be also a measure for controlling the number (max and min) of LU per an area unit, resp. for securing of ecological and economical utilisation of permanent grasslands. The indicators presented in article demonstrate that differentiation of cattle numbers per a hectare of permanent grassland (e.g. up to 0.5, 0.5 to 0.8 a over 0.8 LU of ruminants per hectare) would be possible (appropriate) from the viewpoint of future development of animal production and grassland utilisation in the CR. |
