Abstract

Artificial insemination is the most widely used biotechnological method of pig reproduction and special emphasis is placed on the quality of insemination doses. Computer-aided sperm analysis (CASA) is a technique that objectively evaluates sperm motility and provides accurate and reproducible results. Monitoring the quality parameters of boar insemination doses using CASA increases the possibility of predicting the potential fertilizing ability of sperm.
