| Abstract | The breeding of healthy and vital piglets is one of conditions for a successful pig breeding. It is necessary to provide optimal contitions for piglets during the suckling period and subsequent rearing period. Growth and development of piglets are influenced not only by postnatal effects but also by prenatal factors which can determine future performance of pigs. |
